A recent visit with Henry, our lovely Schwarzkopf rep got us talking!
Henry had the desire to change his look quite dramatically…
Not only did he want to change his hair colour, he had a secret desire to go blonde!
We love a challenge, so after a full consultation, patch test and general inspiration from the whole team, an appointment was booked.
Eleni had the joy (and anxiety) of the task and the transformation began.
Henry was a base 4-5 and although he hadn’t had colour on his hair before, the mid-lengths and ends threw out a lot of red and orange tones. This is nearly always due to environmental factors such as sun exposure and heat.
Although short at the back and sides, Henry’s hair was longer on top so Blondme bleach was applied from root to tip at the back and around the sides and from mid-lengths and ends only throughout the top.
This is because lightener works quicker on the root. There is more heat produced in this area so colour develops quicker there.
Ash additive was added to the Blondme lightener to counteract brassy tones during the lightening process.
The roots were then bleached to catch up with the ends for even coverage.
Time to wash off using Blondme repair shampoo. This continues the bond connecting process. All Blondme products contain bond connecting properties to minimise damage or breakage after a chemical treatment.
Before the hair was toned, Mel cut Henry’s hair for a more edgy look to match his new colour.
To even out the blonde effect, it was decided that a toner would complement the desired look.
Three shades of Schwarzkopf Vibrance were applied to the hair using a gel formula to avoid any more lift. This method just deposits tone to the cuticle.
The end result was stunning as you can see from the photos.
The whole process took several hours but it was worth every minute and Henry loves his new look!
