Hair makeover!
Sometimes we crave a different look and one of the best ways to transform our style is by having a new haircut, colour or both.
There are many reasons why we crave something new. It might be because you’ve had the same cut for years or the texture of the hair is changing and would suit a shorter style.
Occasionally, there may have been a significant life change or event that requires a fresh start, such as a relationship break-up or new job, but whatever the reason, it is just a fun thing to do, which hopefully will come with a huge boost to one’s well-being.
Michelle’s transformation
One of our lovely clients, Michelle, has been coming to 77 The Hill for over 30 years!
She recently wanted a hair makeover and whilst her colour and style really suited her, she has had the same style and colour for a long time.
After a good consultation, Michelle had decided she wanted to keep the length but to chop it up with some layers and added texture.
This would give her a softer frame and allow flexibility with styling as opposed to dealing with her current style.
A date was set, and first the cut!
Complete trust
Michelle put her complete trust in the team who established what it was that Michelle was expecting and to create something just for her.
Mel had his creative hat on, he cut away a little length and internally texturised the rest of the hair until he could see how it would sit.
Michaela then took over and carried out 2 de-colours. Michelle had been having a lot of red tone put into her regular tint and she was very clear that the red had to go!
Red tone can be hard to lift out however we have a very gentle colour remover which maintains condition and shine.
During the consultation, Michelle expressed a desire to have a soft balayage. In order to achieve a perfect result, Mel suggested the colour was done in two stages. Lifting out all of the purple tone first, then going for balayage at the next session.
After de-colouring, an all over tint was applied to achieve good coverage.
Michelle may come back for a balayage but for now, she is enjoying her new hair colour and fresh cut!
We’re looking forward to part 2….
