Fusion haircuts!
We all know about fusion food, where a wonderful mix of flavours and styles from foreign lands come together to make delicious dishes.
A mixture of two styles put together to make a cohesive new normal.
Hair styles are no exception!
The new bixie cut is a mixture of the classic bob and the short soft pixie.
This style is soft around the normally harsh shape of the bob cut and face framing with internal layering, adding texture and personalisation.
The fringe is softened and quite short. This makes a lovely, soft but strong style.
The bob is never going away; however, it keeps reinventing itself, and the new bixie is a good example of this! There has never been a better time to change your hairstyle to either a traditional style or by using a mix of styles and techniques.
Every haircut from graduation to short layering is personalised by adding texture and removing weight from certain places.
Layering around the front of the hair in a waterfall style has also been adapted from another haircut – the shag!
Easy to wear, easy to style
Both of these new styles are easy to take care of. No more blow drying for hours, just simply rough drying or blasting with the hair dryer and the hair falls into place!
They can simply be finished with a light styling product to create the perfect look.
When a fringe is slightly longer at the temples, using a small round brush will give you barrel curls, which will ruin the style. Instead, a flat paddle brush will give a far better finish.
Precision cuts are treated differently and need to be styled primarily by an accurate haircut and secondly by a good brush and robust styling products.
Your stylist will always be happy to give you tips on drying and styling, or book in for a blow dry to save time and effort!
