Quick fixes for common hair problems
We all have bad hair days!
Often, we need a quick fix as time is limited…
So which hair problems are quick and easy to fix if you don’t have the time or inclination to wash and style?
Do you have an annoying cows lick?
Instead of washing your hair and spending ages blow-drying into a style, simply wet the fringe and apply a strong styling product from root to tip, then dry in the opposite direction to how the root grows. This will dry the hair into a flatter position. Handy for an unexpected night out or job interview for example!
Flat roots
This is such a common problem – even amongst thick hair coverage, roots can still appear flat. For a super quick spruce giving lots of volume, simply tip your head upside down and massage your scalp with your finger tips for approximately 30 seconds! Much faster than a wash and blow dry.
Changing your parting sometimes gives extra volume and using a spray to fix into place will help temporarily.
Greasy oily or dirty hair
We don’t always have time to fully wash our hair or visit the hairdressers and we may have to say no to a last minute invitation if our hair is a mess! Using a trusted dry shampoo can be the answer, however it should be used with caution, as overloading the hair could make things worse. Powder products are good for soaking up an oily scalp, so keeping a handy supply might be a good idea for these occasions.
Flyaway hair
This is a very easy fix. Simply use a tiny drop of oil by rubbing it into your palms and then smoothing down the hair. You can use hand cream, face cream or hair conditioner if you don’t have any hair oil. Just make sure it is a very small amount.
Damaged hair
This problem can occur when the hair has been compromised using lightening products or when heated styling equipment has damaged the hair from over use. This is not so much a quick fix but an ongoing one. In-salon premium treatments can be applied regularly and home treatments applied and kept on the hair over night to allow the product to work properly.
We are always available for help and advice where hair care is concerned! Your hair problem can usually be fixed fairly quickly, however sometimes a little more patience is needed.
