Always learning….

Here at 77 The Hill, we take learning and education very seriously.

We believe that there’s always something to learn and in hairdressing, there are new styles, products and colours all the time. We have to keep up with the pace otherwise we get left behind and our clients wouldn’t be getting the best from us.

We have recently had training with Debbie Gee – a big name in hairdressing education and we felt inspired by her enthusiasm and knowledge.

We had a fringe workshop, which was fun and enlightening. It’s sometimes just little things that can make all the difference and make a good haircut great.

We were also lucky enough to have a half day with her talking about self-belief and confidence. A vital part of building relationships in all walks of life however in hairdressing, the relationship we have with our clients is unique and personal. We are with them on a one to one basis from 10 minutes to 4 hours depending on what service they are having.

We get to know them on a personal level and even end up as friends eventually. It is one of the main reasons that a client will stay with a particular stylist for a long period of time or in some cases years because of the relationship between them.

Colour training

This week we also had training on colour techniques with the brilliant Jamie Farrar from Schwarzkopf. This was also inspiring as he gave us new techniques and introduced new colours to try. Everyone had a model and thoroughly enjoyed the session.

However good at hairdressing we are or think we are, everybody learnt something from the day and we always love trying out new things with our clients after training.

As always we take a lot of pictures which documents our triumphs and helps us learn from our not so successful attempts!

We hope you enjoy the latest offerings…
