The latest addition to the bob family is the butterfly (also known as a layered or feathered bob), which is characteristically soft around the bottom and frames the face with layers and a softer fringe.

This suits an above shoulder length or where it sits under the chin. It’s also good for fine hair as the choppy ends make the hair appear thicker.
