Make a change!
The first couple of weeks back after our Christmas break, have been most productive…
We have welcomed many new clients into the salon this month already and we are extremely happy to showcase our skills!
A few of our newest clients have asked for re-styles or colour work that isn’t the norm.
This is an area of expertise that our team has in abundance.
A complete new look, or a colour correction is a popular choice in winter. Customers can be fed up with cold weather, or they may be counting the days until the clocks go forward again which bring lighter evenings.
Many simply want to cheer things up in a way that feels good and positive. Changing ones hair is a great way of having a mini makeover. It’s good for the soul and after all, your hair is the crown that you never take off!
Consultation is key when undertaking a new hair cut or colour
It’s vital that both the stylist and client understand each other. The customer needs to trust their stylist and sometimes this is instant and sometimes it takes time. A lot will depend on previous experiences.
Where colour is concerned and in particular colour correction, consultation is used to explain what might happen during the process. Rarely, with the best will in the world, colour correction can be unpredictable and produce unwanted results.
This can be due to misunderstanding, interpretation or simply previous products that may have been used incorrectly.
Making the outcome difficult to predict.
We are continually looking at ways in which we can be as transparent as possible with our customers and we often perform roleplay amongst the team with various problems to solve – especially regarding colour.
If you’re considering any change, please allow us to talk about your options – we look forward to many challenges in 2025!
IMPORTANT NEWS!
After working the same hours for the last 34 years, we have made changes to our opening times.
Customer flexibility has changed over the last few years, especially on Saturday, which is still very busy but weekdays have become busier too.
We are closing earlier on Saturdays and will work a longer day on alternate Thursdays and Fridays until 7. This will ensure that customer needs are met and the stylists benefit by finishing earlier on Saturdays.
Our online booking system will reflect the new hours.
