Fond farewells…

We hate to say goodbye, especially when it has to be said three times over!

This week, we celebrated Hannah’s new job and said goodbye to her and our wonderful Saturday girls, Amelia and Yas.

They have been with us for three years and have been incredibly hard working, reliable and loyal. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn has been infectious! They have learned so much in their time with us and we have learned from them too. We wish them both well and good luck in their upcoming exams.

Whatever your job role is at any age, it’s so important to have certain standards. Sometimes, having a weekend job from an early age, teaches important values, such as time keeping and reliability. Working as part of a team, you are an important cog in the wheel and if that cog is missing, or unreliable, the whole team will suffer, having a big impact on the business.

Working at the weekend in a hair salon could add very important skills to someone’s skill set.

Such as, good time keeping, communication skills, team work, working under pressure, cleaning skills, hospitality and customer service skills, to name but a few!

If any young person is thinking about looking for a Saturday job, a salon would be the perfect place to start.

Its hard work, you’re on your feet all day and making tea and cleaning may not be your thing! However, if you stick it out long enough – you may just become the new Vidal Sassoon…

We are really looking forward to our upcoming training for this exciting new product.

This is a totally new concept for colouring and with lots of colour combinations, the possibilities are endless. A semi-permanent colour, its very kind to your hair and contains new bond technology.

All without the need to skin test – interested?

Part of our job entails being up close and personal with our clients.

Of course, there are risks associated with this, however we have been busy looking at how to stay working and keep clients and ourselves as safe as possible.

The health of our team and our clients is of paramount importance to us and we won’t be taking any unnecessary risks.

We will not come to work if we feel ill and we would politely ask our customers to do the same.

Until we are told otherwise, its business as usual.

Thanks for your understanding.
