This has played a vital part in our business in terms of growth and survival to employ full and part time staff, each staff member bringing something different to the table. Clients can build up relationships with their stylists very quickly as having your hair done can be an intimate experience. Trust is built and it’s no secret that clients sometimes end up having a therapy session! A good reason to keep our staff happy because they in turn keep our valued clients happy.
We like to make sure our staff are happy in their work environment and we are as accommodating as we can be in terms of starting later or finishing earlier or simply being flexible in employee’s choices of days worked.
Of course, the Employment Rights Act of 1996 protects employees and ensures their needs are met, however we go further than many Salon’s by having regular one to ones and annual appraisals, where staff can voice their opinions and request any changes in working conditions in a relaxed environment away from the salon.
Our aim is to maintain a happy environment for our clients and staff alike and hope it reflects on the service that our customers receive.
Since our re-fit in January this year, the salon has become much busier and we are looking to employ new staff. We have vacancies for at least one senior stylist and a Junior Apprentice. We would also consider someone with their own clientele who wishes to rent a chair.
