Hair-up and more…
Richard and Michaela recently attended a hair up course at Hunter Collective with Schwarzkopf.
There’s many occasions where hair up is appropriate. Let’s face it, a messy bun is always on trend!
Some of us have perfected hair up at home but for something more special, it seems appropriate to visit your stylist in the salon.
Hair up training is always ongoing and there are 100’s of styles to choose from. A lot will depend on hair length, texture and occasion.
Richard, along with Michaela spent 2 days learning and experimenting with hair blocks.
Unfortunately, since the pandemic, live models aren’t able to come along because of the risk of spreading any infection.
This didn’t deter our intrepid pair! They were both able to create different looks, using various styling products and accessories. Using a block allows a lot of freedom for doing something a little more intricate or even making mistakes. It’s a great tool for learning and that is at the heart of our salon! A willingness to learn and develop is the only way to stay at the top of your game.

Xmas 2021
It seems ridiculous to be talking about Xmas in October however, a lot of our planning starts much earlier than this! Our Christmas opening hours have to be decided early so we can plan and the team then know what they’re doing.

Help!
Your help is needed to find an assistant to work on a Saturday. The position would suit someone that is still at school and wishes to earn some extra money. It would be great if they had an interest in hairdressing but it’s not essential.
It’s hard work and involves a lot of cleaning and tidying but full training would be given and 77 The Hill is a great place to work and many life skills will be learnt.
