The evenings are staying lighter longer, the birds are singing early in the morning, spring is hopefully not far away!
Are you thinking about a change of hairstyle or colour?
Our team have been busy with full-on training on cutting with the boss! Each stylist has been utilising their skills on human and block models! The salon owner, Mel, has been enjoying passing on his skills to the team. Training is important at 77 The Hill and everyone benefits from continued learning and development.
We are looking forward to carrying out some great haircuts for spring and beyond…
To shampoo or not…
How many of us wash our hair every day?
How many of us, sometimes hate the thought of having to wash our hair every day?
There is an alternative, which some of us have been using for a long time but if you have never been introduced to the joy of dry shampoo, let me tell you a little bit about it!
Dry shampoo is fabulous for that last minute invitation out and no time to do your hair! If used correctly, it will save you from the embarrassment of greasy or dirty hair. It is no substitute for actual washing your hair, however, it will soak up any oil that is lingering on the scalp and make your hair look nice and clean for an evening out.
It will also give your hair more body and volume, temporarily, however, it must be used with caution, as overuse of successive applications can cause folliculitis or scalp irritation. It should always be washed out thoroughly after each use, to avoid any a dry scalp.
Simply spray on to the root lightly approximately 6 inches from the scalp.
Coloured ones are available, which can help to cover up unsightly grey roots – temporarily. There isn’t enough pigment contained in the dry shampoo to completely cover grey hair but when used in until you can get to the salon, it is a great substitute.
We have 3 different colours available in the salon to buy, Blonde, Brunette and Dark.
£13.50 for 300ml each, by Schwarzkopf.
We have more training next week with the lovely Jamie Farrar from Schwarzkopf, look out for news and pictures in the next blog!
