77 The Hill has been busy, although August is traditionally a quieter month with people on holiday.
Although it’s summer, we are planning ahead for our photo shoot in October and sorting out Christmas working hours!
We are very excited about our photo shoot, which will be documented on our website and Instagram pages.
A professional photo shoot is a fantastic way of showing off work done by the salon team. When you use a team of experts, it can be extremely expensive and quite restricting, as their needs and requirements usually come before your artistic vision! In other words, your work has to fit the images the studio want to portray.
Using professional models can also be restricting. Mostly, their hair can only be styled – not cut or coloured. Professional models are obviously stunning and enhance the images that are created but to truly show case our work, we are using our own models for the shoot.
We have been planning our venture for a few months now, starting with a mood board and brainstorming to decide on themes, clothing and make-up. We all chipped in with different images and looks and also colours, materials, textures and styles. There’s so many things to consider when deciding on a ‘look’.
We are so looking forward to showing off our work and it is something the whole team is involved in. Watch this space for future updates.

We have some new colours and gradually adding to the collection. I’m sure there’s a colour for everyone!
