Count down to Christmas
Even though it is only October, plans for the festive period are well under way.
Christmas is a busy time for a lot of businesses and some are reliant on Christmas trading for support throughout the rest of the year.
Thankfully hairdressing is an all year round business, interjected with very busy periods.
Easter and Christmas are two of the busiest periods for hairdressers and a lot of planning goes into managing these times.
Stock is one of the hardest things to manage. Certain products fluctuate in popularity and colouring too, has its constants and fashion tones, which come and go!
Services have changed over the years – blow dry’s used to be the most popular over the Christmas period – especially on Christmas Eve. However, blow dries are booked throughout the whole month of December as people go out to celebrate.
We work extra hours leading up to Xmas Eve and this allows us a little time off afterwards.
We’ll be posting our opening times very soon, so that our clients can plan when to book in.
A busy few weeks
The salon has been very busy in the last few weeks.
Our team has been working alongside Hannah from Milk Shake, using some lovely new, permanent and semi-permanent colours.
With a full afternoon of training recently, we learnt about mixing and colour placement and we are excited to use this fantastic, kind to hair, brand.
Training sessions are simply the best way of trying new things and testing new colours. We constantly try to evolve and stay up to date with anything new. This can only be done through courses or looking at other salons to see how they’re doing.
