This week…
Every week is different at 77 The Hill.
Here is a snapshot of what has been happening lately.
We had a fabulous client in this week, who had been growing her hair since the lockdown.
She very kindly wanted to grow it long enough to donate to a children’s cancer charity.
The Little Princess Trust, who supply wigs to children who have had alopecia or chemotherapy, are a fantastic charity.
Parents of Hannah Tarplee, who tragically died from a Wilms tumour, started the charity after losing their daughter, who was traumatised from losing her hair and her parents finding out that there wasn’t much help available for children.
This wonderful charity has now helped thousands of children and young adults and have forged strong links with salons in Sweden, Bulgaria, Germany and Portugal.
They help to fund projects for paediatric cancers by clinical trials and finding innovative ways to improve survival rates.
The name of the lovely lady who donated her hair is Despina Dinca and the honour fell to Richard to cut it off!
He carefully prepared it by putting rubber bands around it to hold it in place, then gently cut off one section at a time.
Rather than charge for the service, he and Despina agreed to donate the fee to the charity.
It was a humbling experience and we were so pleased to be asked.
More this week….
Our lovely hair director, Natalina has been incredibly busy this last few weeks. She will be out of action until mid-October, due to long awaited surgery. We wish her all the best and look forward to her return. Any clients that couldn’t get in with her before she left will be well looked after with any of our stylists until she returns.

MCT Ultimate moisture treatment, is perfect for dry or chemically treated hair.
Coating each strand of hair individually with a boost of hydration and can be used once or twice a week to maintain moisture balance.
Every day is different in a hair salon and that is what we all love about our jobs as we never know what to expect! The only thing that is certain is that every customer will receive a warm welcome here!
